Winter Carnival in St Paul

The St Paul Winter Carnival hosts a variety of events from parades to ice sculptures to royal court, there's a lot to see. There are many events for the month long celebration, beginning in December and continuing into January.

The legend of the carnival stems from King Boreas granting powers of the four winds to his brothers, traveling the world and claiming St Paul for his winter festivities in spite of the best efforts of his rival Vulcanus Rex. Add in characters like Klondike Kate and the senior and junior kings and queens and you've got yourself plenty of events for the whole family to get out and enjoy the cold wintry season.
