Northfield's Riverwalk Market Fair is here

If this is a Saturday in June, then it must be the Riverwalk Market Fair.  Welcome to Northfield's own open-air market!  Located in historic downtown Northfield, this event, now in its seventh year, fills Bridge Square and spills unto the Cannon River Walkway every Saturday now through October 22.  Vendors are ready to welcome you come rain or shine from 9 am to 1 pm.  Enjoy the scenery as you shop their booths for locally grown summer produce such as fresh-picked early salad greens, rhubarb, and kale, bedding plants, and freshly baked foods and special treats.  Come see this year’s artisan foods such as the spanakopita and cake-in-a-jar as well as your favorite sweets from area apiaries and maple syrup producers. 

Look for demonstrations from farmers to craftsmen to artists to musical and theatrical performers.   For family activities and child-friendly events, go to the website for a listing of what to expect throughout the summer.  Browse the photographic images on display as well as the ceramics, fused glass, jewelry, wood and fiber arts among others. Come to admire or come to shop this juried fair and enjoy the day down by the river at this summer’s Riverwalk Market Fair.
